A New Lease on Life for a Classic in Maspalomas
At Sholeo Lodges, we believe that traveling is much more than just staying somewhere. It’s about connecting with the destination, sharing moments with others, and discovering a different way to experience travel.
That is why we are especially proud to announce that, thanks to co-financing from the European Union, we have completed the transformation of a historic property in southern Gran Canaria. After months of work, the new Sholeo Lodges Maspalomas opened its doors in July 2025, offering an innovative, sustainable hotel in Maspalomas that is open to the community.

The renovation has not been limited to improving the facilities: it has breathed new life into an iconic building and transformed it into a gathering place for young travelers, families, and digital nomads. We’ve incorporated energy-efficient solutions, new common areas, and recreational offerings that reflect the values of Sholeo Lodges: flexibility, contemporary design, and an authentic travel experience.
This project doesn’t just benefit our visitors. It also gives a boost to the destination, reinforcing Gran Canaria’s image as a place where tradition and modernity coexist, where hospitality is reinvented, and where every experience contributes to the island’s sustainable development.
